Does the sound of a good night's sleep feel like a distant memory? You're not alone. Many women over 50 experience insomnia, often due to hormonal changes during menopause or simply the natural shift in sleep patterns as we age.

But fret not! Here are some tips specifically for us to reclaim those restful nights:

  • Embrace-Routine

Our bodies crave predictability. Go to bed and wake up at the same time each day, even on weekends. This helps regulate your body's natural sleep-wake cycle.

  • Craft-Calming-Bedtime-Ritual:

 Take a warm bath, read a book, listen to calming music – create a routine that signals to your body it's time to unwind. Avoid screens for at least an hour before bed, as the blue light they emit can disrupt sleep.

  • Naps-Need-Limits:

 Short daytime naps can be refreshing, but long naps or napping too late in the day can interfere with nighttime sleep. Aim for naps under 30 minutes before early afternoon.

Reflecting on the Year and Embracing New Beginnings

As we approach the end of another year, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on our journey together and express my heartfelt appreciation for your trust and partnership. The past year has undoubtedly presented its fair share of challenges, but it has also been filled with moments of growth, resilience, and triumph.

Leaving our families health challenges of 2022 behind us we were able to thrive and travel to accomplished some great bullet list adventures.

I got to spend 3 weeks  adventuring with my  20 something granddaughter after she graduated from college in Costa Rica. She went on to travel central America for 3 more months, joined by her older brother. 

Laws  and I got to spend time discovering Napa,  San Francisco,  Lake Tahoe   in CA, and the Pan Handle and East Coast of Fl. We spent a few weeks in St Thomas USVI. We spent most of the summer with our family in California.

  2. Simplify your schedule: Avoid overcommitting and spreading yourself too thin. Prioritize your events and obligations, and learn to say no when necessary. Focus on quality time with loved ones rather than trying to attend every party or get-together .
